About:
Angie has been in the healthcare industry for just over 20 years.  She grew up in Iowa. She graduated with a Bachelors degree and carries a license in Recreation Therapy.  She has experience working in the hospital, residential setting, group home, rehab facility, and in home care.  Her career started working as a therapist with severe and profound children in a skilled nursing facility in Des Moines, IA.  She quickly moved up into management and managed 6 group homes in Cincinnati.  After 3 years working as a program manager, she accepted a job at a residential locked facility where she was chosen to help build therapeutic programs from the ground up for adolescents and young children that were abused and neglected.  After 6 years, she moved to Phoenix and worked at Phoenix Children’s Hospital on the inpatient psychiatry unit.  At this point, Angie was a mom herself.

Still enjoying working and advocating for patients, Angie took a leap of faith and started working for St. Joseph’s Hospital on the Neuro Rehab unit.  This experience not only tested her ability to keep the treatment plan on track, but also showed her how much she enjoyed working with and advocating for adults.  While working at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Angie was asked to work contract for The ALS Association.  She accepted and started creating adapted quality of life programs for ALS patients and their families.  Soon Angie came on full time as a Care Service Coordinator to accommodate a better schedule for her children.  Angie managed a hefty ALS case load which included home visits, attending clinics, support groups, advocating, finding available resources, and maintaining amazing relationships with her patients and families.

As the Director of Client Relations, Angie looks forward to and is excited to help many, many people with their healthcare journey by supporting, nurturing, and guiding you every step of the way.
