Sarah Hughes

Patient Advocate

About:
Sarah Hughes has over 6 years experience as a Nurse, as well as over 6 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant. Her time as an RN includes Hospital-based Perioperative Care, Home Health, & the Outpatient Clinical Setting. She currently specializes in the Ambulatory Surgical Setting, which includes educating patients on pre-operative preparation and postoperative care. Sarah moved from Michigan to the Phoenix area over 4 years ago to begin a new adventure, and to escape the extreme winters. She has enjoyed exploring her new surroundings & experiencing all the great activities Arizona has to offer. She especially enjoys checking out the latest greatest foodie spots, as well as dabbling in arts & crafts, when she’s not spending time at home with her two cats. As a veteran, who had received care through many military and VA healthcare facilities, Sarah has directly experienced the frustration that can accompany the process of trying to navigate through a complicated healthcare system. After witnessing firsthand what some patients have to endure just to attempt to receive the most basic levels of care, it became her passion to help decrease that struggle for others. It is her mission to assist others in receiving the care and treatments necessary to live their best lives.
